About Phillipsburg First Assembly
Longing for the Presence of God to move in us, through us and around us
You’re always welcome at PFA
Phillipsburg First Assembly is a church family committed to helping people know Jesus, grow in faith, and follow Him together.
Since 1965, we have sought to be a place where people can encounter God's presence, discover His love, and experience the transforming power of the gospel. We believe that God is still at work in people's lives today, and that every person matters deeply to Him.
Whether you have followed Christ for many years or are just beginning to explore faith, you are welcome here. Through worship, prayer, biblical teaching, discipleship, and genuine community, we desire to help people take their next step with Jesus.
We are passionate about sharing the hope of Christ in Phillipsburg, throughout our nation, and around the world. Our prayer is that every person who walks through our doors would find encouragement, belonging, and opportunities to grow in a life-giving relationship with Him.
What to expect
When you join us for a Sunday service at Phillipsburg First Assembly, you'll find a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where our desire is to help people encounter God's presence and grow in their faith.
Come as you are—there is no dress code. Some people dress up, while others come more casually. Our service includes a blend of contemporary worship songs and familiar hymns, a time to greet and connect with one another, and practical, Bible-based teaching from Pastor Art.
Children begin the service with their families and are then dismissed to Kids Church during the message. Our services typically conclude around 11:20 a.m.
Whether you've attended church your whole life or are visiting for the first time, we want you to feel welcome and at home.
Meet Pastor Art and Cindy
Pastor Art and his wife, Cindy, have served Phillipsburg First Assembly since 2021. Together with their family, they are passionate about helping people know Jesus, grow as lifelong disciples, and experience the transforming work of God's presence in everyday life.
Art's desire is to teach God's Word in a way that is both biblical and practical, creating space for people to encounter Jesus, ask honest questions, and continue growing in their faith. Cindy shares that same heart for encouraging people and helping them feel welcomed, valued, and connected within the church family.
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or have been following Christ for many years, Art and Cindy would love the opportunity to meet you and welcome you to Phillipsburg First Assembly.
